I did find some breathing space today and finally finished my poinsettia drawing.
I think I quite like this one and maybe I could have gone a little heavy handed with the pinks but that's the thing with watercolours.
They dry out a much lighter shade that what it initially looked to be.
All said I think it's come out better than I hoped.
Audiobook: I've been listening to 'out of the silent plant' by C.S. Lewis and it's a most original form of outer planet fiction.
Something most extraordinarily true and a vision of extreme profundity.
Everything else seems such a derivative.
Much too ahead of its time in thought and understanding and what a wonderful description of a probably accurate alien life and what and how it could be.
This is a narration done in the 80's when audiobooks were called 'cassette books' and I can't imagine the number of tapes one had to buy. Probably in a big box.
Now I've just one more page remaining of my watercolour pad and I think if I shouldn't just get on and finish it.
But right now my knuckles ache from close controlling of a brush.
