After the sudden realization that summers are here and I've not had a singular ice lolly I not only berated myself but also indulged in a bit of ice lily shopping.
Back home in India one would be spoilt for ice lolly choices and it's almost heart breaking to confess it's not the same situation here.
A painful truth I'd realized a few summer back when I bought a good lot of pretty looking lollies only to be aghast at their tastes and sensibilities.
One wouldn't find a regular cola or an orange Lolly here..No sir! In fact frozen icy lollies are not even popular here, as are flavours like red bean or durian.
A lot many lollies come covered in a layer of unsweetened jelly that one can't suck the syrup out of to reveal a frosted tip..
Ugh, right, so talking about my quest for lollies yesterday and I find some flavoyrs I thought could/might be palatable and here they are with the exception of barley and oat dolly (not a lolly it's made of milk) that I bought out of pure curiosity.
I'm tempted to try out this one called 'sweet love' which looks pretty and hopefully tastes good and isn't a creamy version either.
I will update on these tastes as I go through them.
