Break stuff

I was standing outside a field which looked a lot like a sports stadium with an actor of some description whose movie I'd never watch even if you wrapped me in barbed wires which is interesting because in my dream he was making jokes and I was standing in a sports field which suddenly began to rain chunks of glass.
Broken shards of piercing glass littering the entire field and falling continuously and I began walking towards a cover.
I saw a person engaged in his phone most seriously crouching under an insufficient awning not bothered too much about this broken glass rainfall and as I passed him he didn't even as much as look up.
I instantly knew he presumed that this weird phenomenon would soon be over, but it didn't and as I walked, suddenly barefoot a medium sized piece pierced my ankle and stayed there.
I cried in anguish.

In another scene the world looked pastel like a Wes Anderson movie and everything was getting destroyed.
I saw aeroplanes which looked more like 50's aircrafts burst into flames in mid air, buses crash against pavements, cars tearing apart in vicious accidents, and the entire world ablaze with all sorts of vehicle malfunctions, and yet the people around seemed hardly bothered.
Waiting calmly at bust stops, talking of reaching work and even my family now discussing a picnic in a chartered bus that could take the entire family someplace.
I kept telling them it's madness, that everything is crashing and falling to pieces, and they nonchalantly told me that once they're out of the city it won't happen.
But what about the fact that it might happen in the city?
We were in my brothers house in Delhi and it had all the old broken furniture that we'd rid years back and the actor was there too, making jokes again.

I saw the friendly bus driver open the doors and usher us in greeting everyone, while things burst into flames and crashed all around us.
I saw another bus strike the sidewalk and crumple into a bonsai sized toy and yet everyone was behaving like it's the most normal thing in the world.

It was cold, so cold and I woke up to switch off the air conditioning and back into bed, wondering about this dream.
