Isn't it always the same story?
Just when you'd prepped your day much in advance, decided on things that ought to be done is exactly when all gets undone.
In my previous post I'd rather boldly suggested how I'd go about listening to the audiobook while finishing the last bit of watercolour drawing for a while, and that is exactly what didn't happen.
Just when I'd assembled my drawing materials, whetted some paint brushes and finished with a rough pencil drawing of what had to be drawn that an important phone call kept me busy and forced my head into a couple of things requiring immediate attention and I just got done a few minutes back.
My drawing sheet with its rough drawing left just as on my table, paint brushes pooling coldly in a silent jar of still water and my palette with a layer of paints I'd mixed dried to a flaky layer..all sitting most sanguinary in dead anticipation.
Not a drop of audiobook did infiltrate my ears, not a bit of work that I'd scheduled got done and here I am typing with a morose heart of things that've got postponed to tomorrow.
Twenty more minutes and I'll be pottering about for dinner.
This day did go by in a flash and I'm left scavenging at its rotting remains. How delightful!
