Watched ' Furiosa' with the fam yesterday and it was every bit as awesome a spectacle as I would have expected.
There was not a moment of wait or inaction.
The sequences were extremely well made, well executed and no stones left unturned in the ultimate visual madness. There was no effort to make anything look anything other than extravagant in its campiness and it delivered by being almost the best.
What a movie!! What a movie.

Somethings I don’t get

Why do people insist on climbing Mt Everest?
Why does anyone ever want to climb something that's clearly not meant for humans? Climbing stairs is perhaps as far as I'll go cuz when someone talks about challenging yourself and doing that one thing that cannot be done by others I wonder why anyone wants such a certificate? For what purpose ?
Why climb a treacherous place like Everest when you can chill at home and watch Netflix?
I mean I don't get it.

Today in lieu of treating the landlady with a litre of delicious matcha latte she bestowed me with these beautiful beignets (fritters) made of acacia flowers. That are deeply fragrant and bloom only a week before rainfalls bring them down.
They taste lightly sweet, sublime and softly crispy like a kiss.

Today is a holiday

In Belgium
The weather is cold in shadow and hot under sun. Not just hot but searing.
Couldn't bear to drink a Belgian beer

Ho hum

Barely 7 in the morning and I'm awake because people offered me bed tea and it was one of the ghastliest teas he has made.
I am not sure whether I should just stop drinking and go back to sleep or take this opportunity to stay awake and get in with my day.
I have to get some groceries (essential ones) before the stores shut down.
Also so sleepy.
Ugh.

Small things

Saw this beautiful cabinet at the thrift store today.
Kicked myself for having enough cabinets to not need one that's so cute.
Also why was I at the thrift store? The glass head of one of my lamps broke and I'm looking for a replacement and I did buy one but it didn't fit.
Ended up buying a wooden stand with handles for hanging small towels which I have installed in my kitchen.
