This time of night
I hear one of my cats
Play with his doll
Roaming about the house
Meowing
Making strange gurgling noises
Purring
With that tiny cloth doll
Clenched between his teeth
his sleep forgotten
His energy unhindered
Whilst other cats
Sleep upon my person
The orange one
Roams around
Going meow meow meow
