Lovely morning sleep

The only sad part about the 5 am second wave of deep sleep is that one has to shortly wake up.
It was at this time that in a daze, I opened the door to let in one of the cats who'd been out on some nightly adventure, after which I checked my watch, smirked because it was barely five yet and felt smug that I still have enough hours to get myself a deliciously beauteous sleep, for at least an hour.
The thing about the 5 am sleep is that it's quick in its slay, unlike the nighttime sleep which takes forever to come a visiting; this morning sleep is instant. One has to only touch the bed and lo!
It was with some similar satisfaction when I glanced at my watch, bleary eyed, scant five minutes after I'd slept.
How wrong was I?
It was almost 7:20 and I had not slept for one but more than two hours that felt like five short minutes.
My lord, I feign no excuse here, because that sleep as marvellous in its gratification was also voluptuously enticing and I let a few curses loose before fiddling with other things that needed to be fiddled with in the morning.
I shan't bore you with the chores of it, but suffice to say I couldn't stop thinking about that delirious moment of snatched sleep which embalmed me those couple short hours.
