Why does this always happen?
Tell me if this hasn't happened to you.
But here are the premises.
You've called in a technician to repair something, like a television or an air conditioner or a drier, as was in my case..A heavy-duty machine that has been erratic in its working or in some cases completely haywire and the tech person comes in, flicks on the switch and the machine purrs like a newborn baby like nothing ever happened to it like you've been dreaming the horrifying squeaky noises it makes when it's switched on.
It is extremely embarrassing and fate never misses a chance at mocking you.
If this has happened to me once it has happened a dozen times.
Thankfully though, the technician had enough understanding and actually bothered to open up a few screws and check inside, despite the initial misgivings and his looking at me as if I were some high strung foreigner, always complaining etc, he actually found the problem.
I was relieved.
He will be back with the necessary armaments to fix the ribbon that has been damaged.
In layman speak, I believe it's the belt that rotates the drum around which has been damaged and I'm thankful because there's only so much I can do to avert my eyes from the piles of clothes that need washing.
