The weather has that rainy weather kind of aura lingering along the periphery of a near humid albeit cool day and something about this weather not being as horrid as it would've seemed on a colder day, not least because I'm hit by a tint of nostalgia from that time when it'd be cool, humid and almost as desultory in appearance even if not the feel, searing those nerves that reserved that odd memory of that juvenile happiness of it being perhaps a rainy day and that there shan't be any assembly, or that maybe the buses will come late or not at all to pick us up for school.
Rainy day weathers (not monsoon season which is a whole different thing) back in the day when uniforms were the daily norm seemed so celebratory, just because one felt compelled to feel the jubilant gladness of being able to stare out the windows and find everything awash.
Today, this weather, which only threatens to be wet, invokes those remembrances when rainy day during a particular weather really meant something, only if even metaphysically.
