Today feels like

That pivotal moment in 'Great Gatsby' before everything happens.
I don't know if you've read the book, but there's a scene in which all the important characters are gathered in a small airless room, during the peak of summers in the heart of an area characterised with growing industrialisation. Noisy with sounds of a wedding nearby exaggerated with stifling heat and growing resentment and griminess between them, the characters are talking loudly, nervously in oppressive heat drinking iced mint julep.

Today feels exactly like that. Hot, suffocating and utterly airless. I need me some mint.
