Today has been long

Have I had a day or have I had a day?
Phew!!
Just got back in the house after having left it at 12:30.
I was out for 4 hours.
Doing what?
Miscellaneous things
Giving myself 10 minutes to collect myself with a tall glass of iced water because it was hot out today and I spent majority of today walking walking and exploring and walking .

The thing is when you're with a friend who shares with you similar hobbies of looking at aisles of sauces and interesting food items, who prefers shopping groceries more than shoes; spending time with that person ain't a chore but a delight.
It's the adult enjoyment equivalent of theme park where the joyrides are finding speciality food items and calling out to each other upon coming across ostrich eggs.

Lunch was ecstatic too. I had something called 'escargots' which is a fancy word for snails and the ones I had were drenched in olive oil with garlic and breadcrumbs.
Also had some soup and a small desserts washed down with excellent coffee after which we went on an excursion around the area on foot because that place is rife with small speciality food shops that offer everything from imported Indian mangoes to Ethiopian spices and it takes a small lifetime to visit shop to shop and look, see and buy.

The only downside to such excursions is that it is exhausting.
From leaving almost empty handed from the house to coming back saddled with nearly 5 kilos of things and walking around almost 3 kms as the weight on shoulders steadily increases with the increment of stuff courtesy insatiable greed and curiosity can be tiring and it doesn't end there because once I got back I was greeted by 4 very hungry cats.
I have only just got some time to carve a few words after which I get thrown into my evening chores after unpacking and arranging all the stuff I've bought.
I mean I look at my huge bag and wonder what on earth?
Why do I have so many packets of almond milk?
I also have lots of filleted and cleaned river fish and shrimps along with crushed and canned Italian tomatoes and a large bouquet of daisies and aromatic candles.
Like what on earth even.
