Rant a ta ta Tuesday

I'd mentioned about how I'd been inflicted by the cold virus and how it was undecided if it's invaded me or not..well, turns out it did try to encroach my system but the good antibodies went into an overdrive and didn't relent, which resulted in minor cold and minimal fever for not more than a day, after which it began receding.
I did suffer from a night of vigorous dreams and frightful coughing, irritated throat and lethargy but it wasn't here to stay, and I'd like to thank my good friend 'the lemon' for that.
Because each day I sucked on at least two lemons immersed in hot water and I'd like to think they were instrumental in thwarting away the bad stuff.
I also let my body rest, didn't work out or step out much in the cold, because it has come to that point where the temperatures are sub zero and morning jogs and walks are not nearly as alluring, at least not when you're on the precipice of falling sick.
I've walked away from the cliff and hopefully will be on a downward ride but the thing with sickness is that you never know when you'd find yourself suddenly plunging into the depths of illness, and hopefully that is a situation mercifully averted.
But precaution is better than cure and for that very reason I'm not going to push my body and let it take its course and tell me when it wants to be tortured with work outs, which is hopefully soon because it's been a few days since I sweated and it bothers me.

It's strange how much you discover of your body, perhaps you begin feeling mindful of it after a bad patch of sickness or maybe you just grow aware but every day I understand a little more and keep making changes to diet and lifestyle accordingly and sometimes they work and sometimes things don't, but the point is that now you know what doesn't and what does, unlike like before when I felt almost blindfolded, groping for health in the dark.
Yes, I do fall off the wagon and go mental with bad food sometimes, but that's rare and a bit of a stroll on the dark side is always recommended to keep your heart cognizant of the sinful wiles.
