About this currency fiasco, I don't know how relevant it is to me, but here's hoping they do have some 'previous currency exchange' happening at airports, cuz I have a few thou that I usually need when shopping duty free and to pay for taxi's from airport to home.
I don't know how panicked everyone is either, and I'm missing out on that fun, watching people stampede over to ATM's and what not.
So one has to get them legal tenders changed within 2 months or all is waste..basically you gotta declare it all. hmm.. ah well.
I haven't seen the new designs on the currencies yet and I think i'll let it be that way, something to surprise me when I touch down.
I think this whole surprise attack of the new currency is a fun way to get people to declare and render undeclared money as waste, also a great way to curb fraudulent currency circulation in our country which is probably happening in a way of over lacks of crores courtesy our good neighbours. Also if you look at it, it might help in in slowing down the funding of terrorist activities for a while.
Considering the vastness and madness of our country and its population, it'll take a while to restore balance and for the scales to normalize, but like everything else this will soon be absorbed by our country's eco-system.
