Sigh that anchors are meant to drown just to keep ships from drifting.
It rains still and percolating water from all sides makes it sound like I'm in the midst of a hundred small urban waterfalls.
The distant sound of a car passing by, a plane taking off and a steady trickle of water as it pours down terrace drains, rooftops, trees and other unknown made made or natural chalices that I know not of. .
surreal to hear nature feel so effortlessly unperturbed in a habitat so unnatural it's own. Amidst a concrete jungle, whose very foundation were built on destroying all that's wild.. and perhaps that's a part of how it's meant to be.
How presumptuous and ignorant to assume or claim parts of earth as ones that don't belong to it.
Ah, I'm just a carbon based life form. What do I know? A silent atom in gigantic machinery of evolution unfathomable it's almighty strength, while it rolls, a juggernaut trampling, imbibing, discarding as it goes. Learning what it does and decimating that knowledge, like roots do to the far flung veins of leaves.
