A friend of mine who happens to be a restaurant insider told me that almost all restaurants at least the generic so called Italian ones that sell everything from pizzas to sandwiches to burgers use something called 'Veeba Mariana sauce' for their 'red sauce' pasta and their similar white sauce for 'white sauce pasta' whatever that is.
In fact almost all cream based, mayonnaise based sauces that restaurants use are from the bread 'veeba' which I guess is widely available .
So basically you're getting charged enormous amounts to eat what you buy at the grocery store because none of these restaurants could be bothered to make their own sauces cuz why should they?
People eat anything.
It's the herb mixture which is the key I was told and that too comes out of a pizza mix jar that is at low temperature tempered with lots and lots of garlic with oil and chilli flakes.
That's about it!
Shame!!!
