People coming to my house have now started bringing toys for my kitten and as much as I appreciate their gesture it annoys me a bit because all their well meaning gifts are added clutter and garbage because neither of my cats show an iota of interest in any gift they've received .
They do not like the crinkling bags meant for them to crawl inside, instead preferring the generic superstore bag that are ridiculously plastic and so much more fun for them to play with.
They do not appreciate the long spring toys that bobble and wave when touched instead preferring hanging ends of throws and towels and they do they like the large scratch box because it's so much more fun destroying my jute carpet.
The only gifts they do however like are snacks and little hanging birds at the end of a rope tied to a stick, which they have fun decimating within an hour, but that's as far as it goes.
I've gotta start telling people to stop bringing over such gifts because they'll end up in the trash and what's more others will see and know that their gifts are lounging in the trash.
Now I've got to leave the compound and get rid of them in some other trash.
Look at the problems that mount up!
