Clutter clatter

Say no to clutter and senseless buying.

Is it an addiction?
I think so.
And perhaps yes it is meant to fill a void but then what are we if not black holes, ready to gorge on all the minute longs fads social media has forged and forced upon us.

A friend had a momentary obsession with plants after having seen some videos of 'plantfluencers' apparently that's what they're called and she filled her home with plants, creepers, flowers and what not only to have them begin dying a couple weeks later, because of course plants need maintenance and demand time to get pruned, watered and taken care of, all of which she did sparingly because this was just not her thing.
And soon there were almost three dozen pots lying near the garbage.

Now this was a lot of money spent in creating clutter and for what? Just feeding into a ridiculous fad?
Maybe one can wait it out for a while and know for sure if there's a true hobby somewhere?

Ah, I don't know.
Just that it bothers me to see such frivolity towards anything that means something.
