The amount of comments I've received on my tan has overwhelmed the new year wishes.
Apparently no one can believe why someone would willingly stay under the sun..I mean beaches aren't indoors are they?
But tell that to some people who went to the exact same place as I did and returned absolutely unchanged because most of their time was spent shopping in duty free malls and roaming about covered head to toe in golf masks and strange skins over their arms and hoodies over their heads. To each their own and yes there's been some sun damage but nothing that won't shed off in time.
I mean after a while one begins to get conscious and when every time I'm faced with a 'what happened to you?' comment, I cringe because that's all that anyone asks or says the moment they see me.
'Well of course I applied spf, of course it was a strong spf, yes, yes I'm aware I've gotten darker, no it's alright, oh don't worry, it doesn't matter, oh I don't care' are my usual replies cuz why the fuck is it even an issue??
