My neck is under immense pressure and my drawing is ruined:
As I'd mentioned in my archives about a new drawing, a sort of experimental drawing which though complicated isn't exactly difficult and did I mention how much I'm loving this new watercolour paper.
Oh it's the best ever, but here's the problem.
The papers thickness and it's wonderful texture presents a few not so pleasant cons.
Firstly one can't erase a whole lot, because it results in the wonderful outer cotton texture of the paper to start ripping off with the eraser.
Secondly and the reason my drawing is completely ruined is because of the immensely complicated nature of many a elements that I've put into it's basic pencil work, I need to mask a lot of elements that's are tiny, nay, minute and can't be coloured anything other than what they're meant to be.
So to avoid any other colours besmirching those little elements I cover them with a masking tape or masking fluid which forms a thin layer atop that can be easily peeled off without having any colour on it.
Now here's the problem, this paper doesn't take too well to masking fluids or tape.
As I proceeded to remove the tape and erase the masking fluid by slowly peeling off those layers, get this, it took off the entire thin membrane like layer of the textured paper. What I was left was skinned off paper in a hundred places.
Oh dear oh dear.
What to do now?
Nothing!
I drew the entire drawing again on another sheet of similar paper, and will begin rendering it again tomorrow.
So the entire work all over again.
And now my neck hurts and I feel a bit pissed off.
