Into the festivities

Diwali morning and I sit sipping tea in my backyard before beginning a mission to once again clean the backyard and front which has been overrun with leaves, a side effect of autumnal season.
Calls have to be made, the barbecue needs to be set because I am barbecuing today. Nothing exotic, only vegetables :)
But there's a party I'm throwing this Saturday and it's something of a belated Diwali party for close friends and I think tomorrow I'm going to be overrun with activities.

Lights have been set up in abundance all around the house and I will put pictures this evening, however those lights will be something of a permanent fixture seeing how they're harmless fairy lights and it's always lovely to have them around the house.
Winters for me are all about fairy lights and I'm actually looking forward to it.

I'm not much of a Diwali person, in fact festivals depress me and I don't like the chaotic business such festivals always brought back home.

However I do miss some foods my mom used to make and I realized I have no sweet dish for today. Which is okay! Maybe I'll cook up something later.

So what's cooking today?
What are your plans?

A very happy Diwali my darling.
Kisses.
