All this excitement kind of hampered my carefully carved Friday routine. Couldn't draw, couldn't listen to my audiobook, and felt like a helpless junkie who's expected to happily give up on her daily dose of methadone.
Well, no skin off my nose. Ended up burying myself in the new book I started reading yesterday, 'in cold blood' and only resurfaced a while back, having finished almost more than half of it, when hunger pangs reminded me that I'm only human and that I needed to cook something elaborate, considering I've not the luxury to feed myself any odd bits of food I've hankering around in the fridge, as I wasn't alone to myself today.
This book is an addictive read. The way it's written, its picturesque description of how the entire episode unraveled, capaciously detailed frames of each character and how they contributed to the entire story is point on.
It's structure is thorough and excellently balanced and extensively investigated and where true crimes go, this is pretty much the pinnacle of best written true crime stories.
Fast paced and easy to read yet fantastically well written.
Being a part of a two member book club is as exclusive as it gets..wouldn't in my life miss a chance to be one of 'em.
Let's do it I say.
