My body is a study in soreness today!!
My legs are toast!
The quads are screaming, the glutes are hurting and perhaps yesterday's lower body strength got me to this point. Funnily though I kept feeling that my workout wasn't nearly enough.
Of course there's badminton in the evenings to add to it, and maybe that worked as a proper burnout.
I'd outlined an almost hour long upper body and abs workout today with weights etc but somewhere between siping my tea and listening to music I decided to give today's workout a bit of a toss, because what am I if not cautious.
The heel has been healing alright, not too good but it's come to a point where I can do lower body strength without feeling much hurt, also run about the court.
Right then.
Today is an off day.
What was meant for today shall be done tomorrow .
I mean my body simply refused to get out of bed this morning, not least because I was up till almost 1 reading a book.
Okay, the book.
This blog post is going everywhere.
'Rage of dragons' is propelling itself into an addiction, and I almost disturbed sleeps with my loud claps of triumphant approvals and grunts of disapproval's.
I mean it's delicious in a way that some recipe from a cuisine you've not much tried before happens to be served to you and after initial hesitation you realise that not only is it different from everything you've tasted but also oddly palatable.
Almost like the Klingon delicacy Bregit Lung, but of books.
I have started with another audiobook. 'Fifth season' of broken earth trilogy and two hours in it's already made my meal preparations in the kitchen a lot more fun. It's mysterious in a way that the concept is really well rounded and is developing nicely. Let's see how it goes. The story telling is done pretty well and of course the narrator of the book is fabulous.
More on it once I've reached a save point.
Ghost stories of Dresden files was perhaps the most unimaginative book of the series.
It was dull, had a very weak plot and the entire story could have been done in less than 50 pages.
There were points when I was expecting a turnabout as usually happens in most Dresden files books but this one was linear and had nothing to it.
Major disappointment, but perhaps this means a better more complex or at the very least a more evolved plot in the next book which I shall listen to once I'm done with a few more audiobooks.
Right then.
Today is Friday.
I feel a fiesta of sorts brimming inside me.
I'm in the mood to make a middle eastern feast for dinner tonight and even a cake, not least because I have fresh figs and as much as I love their dried counterparts, I am allergic to the fresh ones.
Go figure this mess.
However I can eat them cooked.
What on earth?!!
Soonest.
