But why?

I think one of my biggest pet peeve is when people leave the seals of foods, creams, jars or any container partly on.
Like just rip off the damned thing or pull it out all the way.
What's the satisfaction in keeping things partly sealed?
Is gross.
I mean you open a jar of Nivea in someone's house (the blue tub) and the silver foil is almost always partly on, smudged with cream and it gets on my nerves. Gawd!
