today thursday

May I just say Phew!!
I had to physically restrain myself from buying vegetables in the market today because of gloriously tempting and beautiful they all looked.
I am guilty of buying excess veg and I have to keep repeta8ng my shopping list in my head because I cam get so pixilated with all the bright colours and varieties of plants that I forget my crisper drawer won't allow for nearly as much foodstuff.
Moreover one can't easily use up so much veg and I do love them in their crispy fresh glory which is why I prefer to buy veg every couple days as opposed to a huge haul that will last for over a week.
I am not counting potatoes and onions as a part of this because those things tend to last a whole lot longer.

So Thursday is on. Dinner will be a light and simple pasta dish with sundried tomatoes and spinach.
I am already in the process of prepping for packed lunch tomorrow because it's a bit extravagant and morning alone will not be enough, also I have to pop out with a friend at 11 for grocery shopping at this new place that's opened up and for that, I have to get my act together in time.

It's the sprucing up of the house that can take longer than I wish in the mornings and I want to be able to get my chores done on time so that I don't return to a dishevelled house.

Right then!
It's 4:18 in the pm as I write this and a few moments later the cats will rouse and scream for hunger.

But more..soon!

madness this

Say one thing about today, say it feels like tomorrow.

I stare at my fridge that feels like it's been stuffed by a maniac hoarding for the apocalypse because how does one stop themselves from going full mental at the wet market and that was my mistake because I will be gone for ten days come next week and that means I have to finish al the crazy produce I've greedily bought by Saturday.

Alright, it won't be easy but not impossible and so gear up for heaps upon heaps of vegetables because roughage is all it's going to be at the next few days.

What did I get myself into?
