a hundred thousand words and bawdy images stirring tornadoes in night screens evaporated into pixelated whiff of blank telegram screen.
The rendering sigh was redolent of resignation and reality.
I slept on a long flight, woke up with a crick and realised it was that time I'd usually check my phone and smile.
The smiles were held back, the phone was airplane mode, the tea was tepid, the food was an accident in a tin foil and I wished I could tell you all of it in a long message with several spelling errors because that's how happy and excited I always am to talk to you.
