It’s changed

In my new bedroom
I don't see beams
From cars outside
Making starburst patterns
On my walls

It gets a little lonely
To see not a singular reflection
Of traffic lights
Bouncing off wet roads
On my nightly curtains

There was sometimes
An urban matinee show
Of dispersed scorches
like fizzled torches
made by random radiance
on my bedroom ceilings
once upon a time
