I don't remember what tired me so yesterday that I died within moments of plopping myself on the bed, and in between turning the pages of a nighttime book I felt myself drifting off to sleep.
Sleep was sweet but terminated early morning and then a second short burst of deep sleep that ended sonorously.
Of dreams there was a tapestry and I remember not one. Hard I did try to snatch out a dream that was quickly gamboling into a realm of dream amnesia, but alas, it was too fast for me, and is now forever consigned to oblivion.
It's a dull spirited morning. Windy and cold. Inspires no confidence and makes no promises to get better with the day. Harsh days are here where warmth is scarce and hopeful sunshine even scarcer. Soon it'll be time when everyday would feel like you're rubbing skins with a glacier. Can't say I've not had much practice with that. ( wink wink)
Sigh, there's an uncertain gloom looming in the air, shut windows that still let in strands of cold breeze, and a house thick with morning darkness in a bit of disarray from last nights unconcerned movements.
I don't like switching on lights in the morning, in fact there's a bit of twilight darkness in the kitchen when I get to tinkering around in it and I kind of like it that way. Feels a lot better working in light shadows than having a bizarre white light ominously hung about on my head.
In my mind it feels kinda vulgar and disrespectful for the morning. Switching on lights to show that natural light isn't good enough. Well, it's good enough for me.
Also I like having my morning tea huddled on a corner chair in the brownout hue of my house.

Also, how ridiculously uncultured is it to ring doorbells so early in the morning. I think the only proper time to ring doorbells is between 8:00am-9:00pm. For anytime before or after that a knock should suffice.
It's more like my work/time is more important than their sleep/work and to quicken getting my stuff done let me rudely announce my coming, so everyone is immediately answerable to my summons.
Oh to hell with that.
Honestly I'm a big fan of soft knocks.
..and a bit of knocking about..in proper places that is.
