Coming down

It is deliriously hot today and in the kitchen where I cooked it got so extremely hot I found it hard to stand.
I was sweating, I was swearing, I was seared within that hot furnace.
It was excruciating and the fire alarms went off
Scaring everyone in the house
And all I did was make 3 paranthas but the open window didn't do much to expel that smoke and I was in no mood to turn on that horrible sounding smoke neutraliser and lo!
Anyway
I am sitting in front of a fan with sheru in my arms and life feels better .

Twistday

Already Tuesday and day after I begin a small bout of vacation that the French love and is a part of their culture.
Usually their vacations extend anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks (August being the holiday time) and it's a part of French system to have 35 days of paid vacation, no matter the job! It's very much a part of their relaxation routine and though I'd have loved a longer vacay cuz I need a holiday, this 5 day long out of the house and into the south of France road trip is going to do me good.

And I have been annoyed
Ever since my passport renewal visit
I wait
For a mail from consulate
To ask me for documents I didn't provide
As they weren't required nor mentioned
As they've never been required for passport renewal in my almost 3 decades of owning a passport!
And at this point they feel so moot in life
But yet.
Here we are
These kind of paperwork related things
Stress me out
