This house is a farrago of all the things that either simply don't work or are on the verge of totally breaking down and all because of lack of maintenance and unwillingness to care.
The internet is back to being non existent because the switchboard which powered it has gone kaput.
This isn't new. Apparently they had been told to get it fixed by an electrician a few months ago but because it would have been costlier than what they're willing to give which is practically peanuts, and, also their weird need to not see absolutely any change around the house they didn't get it repaired and since then have been dealing with the situation with quick fixes and today finally it croaked.
The issue is that it also powered the internet and that's also where the phone is through which they have their inter webs because bsnl.
It has caused bit of a flutter because someone needs Internet desperately to do office work from another time zone and this is a perilous situation and has since broken a small tirade of arguments in this house which is funny and also sad.
