Say one thing about hunger say it plagues me even after I've had dinner not least because I have reduced my portions because there comes a time every few months when the body feels like it's hit a plateau and mostly I rush headlong into longer hours of intermittent fasting, however I've gone the other route this time, that is calorie deficit.
I know the word above has such hideous connotations, like one is literally starving themselves but the one I pursue currently has me decrease my portions by about 10% which really isn't all that much.
Think about it as consuming 1800 calories instead of the 2000 and above that was my usual intake and in fact the past few weeks I have been a bit callous about nutrition; consuming larger quantities of desserts and imbibing significantly more amounts of alcohol which added to some places that only I could know and that is why I found myself taking a step back and looking at this situation through a wider angled lense to know my follies of which there were plenty.
So here I am rectifying them, reducing meal portions and including larger amounts of air and water that is to say vegetables and a lot more than I usually eat which was quite much.
Also I sensed an increment in simple carbs in my diet. I was eating more bread, Flour noodles and some extra oil because as I said I had become callous about a few things and tended to not bother much about these simple extra additions and even though I still believe in eating what I feel like I want to impress upon the mindfulness of this technique to not suddenly ignore the usual healthy regimen in favour of a heartfelt one.
Not having a sweet tooth is helpful but when there are ready deserts bulging with calories in the fridge one tends to want to eat them before they spoil and maybe I was too enthusiastic about keeping them from going bad that I ate rather huge quantities of it followed by an almost daily intake of beer and never just the one pint either, so that's one thing I wish only to keep for weekends, the desserts and the mead, along with simple carbs excluding white rice.
I do however still like eating either a piece of jaggery or a square of dark chocolate post meals but that is it.
I shall update my progress and inform as to how it has begun affecting.
