Pulling at the cobweb thin flimsy drapes
that eclipse a wall of window
unessential diaphanous curtains
studded with shadows of sewn petals, in primrose and pink
and suddenly with a start
see an image much like yours
dangling with a curtain in a dark window far away
a kitchen window to be precise in someone else's home
they're unaware, about a shadow that lurks in the window
a reflection from a distant block
separated by a space of air and leap of faith
a bit bent in the strange curve of the slanted glass
raising a hand to establish recognition
with my own reflection in someone else's house
that eclipse a wall of window
unessential diaphanous curtains
studded with shadows of sewn petals, in primrose and pink
and suddenly with a start
see an image much like yours
dangling with a curtain in a dark window far away
a kitchen window to be precise in someone else's home

a bit bent in the strange curve of the slanted glass
raising a hand to establish recognition
with my own reflection in someone else's house
