my life is an incoherent need for coasters
I could wear my jewelry to a party
and dunk it in my coffee
And on a sandalwood table
seated with forgotten fable
I lick my ring like a lollipop
a big fat jade,
a gigantic sugar rock
Stirring it in my drink
drowning in my coffee
Looking around dismayed
there are no coasters.
