Sum up

It's only just after noon and I've got far too many steps in and that makes me wonder how only cleaning the house and simply running about can really add to the total energy expenditure apart from the workouts that are. 
I don't know how accurate these steps are but I'm willing to assume that no matter how inaccurate they can't be that far off, or can they? 
Also because I've been avoiding lunges and squats and most cardio workouts include lots of knee highs, jumps and hops, maybe they add to the step count too. 

Also, how often do I wake up at night and walk around? 

I am not asleepp half the night. 
I'm opening and closing the doors for my cats and generally just staying awake. 

Ah well.
